Transition to Work

Transition to Work​ is a work search support program that helps clients seek, obtain and maintain employment. Job seekers will receive a professional resume to pursue their career path, group based sessions regarding Work Search Basics, and Interview Preparation, and Employment Maintenance. Additional work search assistance will be given depending on barriers of the individual. Job seekers in this group will have regular meetings (approximately once per week)


  • Job seeker is referred by the Department of Post -Secondary Education, Training and Labour

  • Job seeker is referred by the Department of Social Development

Employment Counselling for Newly Landed Immigrants and Newcomers to Canada


This program provides employment counselling services to job ready immigrants who are experiencing difficulty finding or keeping employment within their level of experience and expertise in the Southeast and Saint John regions of New Brunswick. Potential clients have to meet one of the following criteria:

  • Permanent residency

  • Refugees with SIN beginning with a 9, who possess a work permit that has not expired

  • International students with a post-graduation work permit, and who intend to apply for permanent residency

  • Spouses with a work permit - Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project

Career Information Centres

The Career Information Centres provide tools, resources and assistance to individuals looking for work or exploring career and training options. The role of the Career Information Agent on location is to assist with comprehensive research of job postings and provide technical assistance and information to the general public. We also offer a basic resume writing service.

IN MOTION is a Social Development program that supports you to move in a direction that feels good for you. Your life experience, skills, important connections, and wisdom are valued.

You will be offered the option to attend Part 2 of the program called MOMENTUM.

Career Transition Services


Atlantic Human Services Inc. offers Career Transition Services to companies restructuring, downsizing or closing. We offer employment counselling, resume writing, interview preparation, job search coaching and workshops to employees through individualized one-on-one meetings and group sessions. Our goal is to help employees to transition and integrate into the workforce, offering support and guidance when they need it the most. We also aim to help protect the brand and reputation of the company within the community. We offer onsite or offsite support customized to the company or organization’s needs.
