Employment Counselling for Immigrants to Canada

This program provides employment counselling services to job ready immigrants who are experiencing difficulty finding or keeping employment within their level of experience and expertise in the Southeast and Saint John regions of New Brunswick. Potential clients have to meet one of the following criteria:

  • Permanent residency

  • Refugees with SIN beginning with a 9, who possess a work permit that has not expired

  • International students with a post-graduation work permit, and who intend to apply for permanent residency

  • Spouses with a work permit - Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project

How the Employment Counselling Could Help You?

This program is funded by the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour. So, this service is free of charge.

Your Employment Counsellor will help you develop your individualized action plan that may include:

  • Career Decision Making

  • Skills Enhancement

  • Job Search

  • Employment Maintenance

  • Employers Connection Sessions

  • Employment Group Sessions

  • Information on the current labour market
